The Challenge

As a brand new school competing for students with access to the area’s top-notch, free public education systems, TSS needed to quickly build brand awareness and legitimacy. But they had to start by finding their people—understanding who they were talking to and how to reach them. Priority objectives included identifying and attracting specific student profiles; increasing the draw of student populations from certain audience groups; and achieving yearly enrollment targets as set by the school.

We developed a strategic plan that positioned TSS within its niche, and which identified strategic messaging and communications tactics to position the school, help establish its brand, and recruit its first class.

On-Going Comprehensive Communications

Since prior to its opening in 2017 through 2024,  we were responsible for nearly all aspects of the school’s ongoing, high-level campaign to build brand and recruit new students. We’ve worked with TSS to establish its marketing objectives; craft messaging; design and create a range of collateral for use across digital and traditional channels; and plan and execute multi-channel customer acquisition and brand awareness campaigns.

Impact

Growing The TSS Population and Reputation With Coordinated, Ongoing Strategic Marketing Support

The school opened with 14 students at the start of 2017, and has since grown to 70 in the Fall of 2023. 

We’ve helped TSS achieve 135% growth from its opening in 2017 to 2020, and in spring 2021 they celebrated their first graduating class. Year-over-year growth was 65% from 2017 to 2018, and 42% from 2018 to 2019 (2020-21 growth goals altered by the pandemic).

Ongoing brand awareness campaigns achieved not only the student growth metrics, but also produced local news coverage for the school, helping to solidify their brand.

Today, TSS is recognized for the innovative environment it provides for its families. Parents know the school is the place to be for students who are struggling in public school due to anxiety, learning differences, or other challenges.  TSS supports its brand through consistent and regular messaging to its target audience across a variety of platforms.
