Arlington Strategy: Celebrating 10 yearsIn honor of Arlington Strategy celebrating its 10th anniversary, we’re looking back at some of our key milestone moments and accomplishments in the last ten years.

2012: Starting a business is fun!

Our founder and CEO, Jennifer Mulchandani, wanted flexibility, challenge, and a job that would allow her to connect more deeply in the community, and thus Arlington Strategy was born. Tune into a special anniversary episode of The M Word this week to hear more about our origin story.

2013: Let’s build a team!

One year later, we hired our first employee, and our emphasis on collaboration as a core value was born. What began with hiring one part-time teammate has grown into a team of 7+.

2015: Leading the Dream

Two years later, Jennifer completed Leadership Arlington, a nine-month program for established leaders committed to community growth. During this process, she established professional and personal relationships across the community leading to our eventual partnerships with nonprofits, small businesses, and other local agencies.

This was also the year that our office dog Quincy was born!

2016: Bridges to Independence

Arlington Strategy’s long-term relationship with local nonprofit Bridges to Independence began with Jennifer joining their Board of Directors in 2016. She subsequently served two terms as the Board President and is again in that role.

2018: Moving on up!

By the summer of 2018, our team finally exceeded the space around Jennifer’s dining table, and we took the leap to lease our small but special office right off Langston Boulevard, formerly Lee Highway! We had a great time at our office ribbon cutting in December.

2020: Best Business Award

Proud is an understatement. In 2020 Arlington Strategy received the Best Service Business award from the Arlington Chamber of Commerce.

2021: The M Word is born

On April 8, we branched out into a new format launching our brand new podcast, The M Word. Cohosted by Jennifer and Heather Myklegard, we created the podcast as a way to have uncensored conversations on all things marketing. The podcast initially launched with Zoom recordings (because of the pandemic situation and all), and guests who dropped various M words were rewarded with our virtual high fives. Click here to listen to our Season 2 Wrap-up and for a sneak peek into season 3, which will be all about failures and how they propel marketing and business forward.

2022: Celebrating 10 years!

That went fast! What started as a one-woman business with a simple mission: to help small businesses and nonprofit organizations thrive has evolved into so much more over the past decade. We’ve grown to serve a diverse clientele across industries and sectors. Our team has blossomed, and our community impact has too. We pause this fall to celebrate our journey — to reflect on the people who have made this business what it is and those who are a part of building what it will become in the years to come. We thank our clients, our teammates, our business partners, our friends, and most importantly, our families. Building a business can sometimes feel like pretend play, sometimes like an insurmountable challenge, and sometimes it can feel beyond rewarding. We are forever grateful for the chance to work towards a better world and have refreshed our brand to reflect our growth and updated core values and purpose.

Take a look at our impact over the last 10 years below.
